UK-based Nigerian woman, identified on TikTok as Shugar, has recounted her ordeal with her estranged husband, accusing him of abuse, financial manipulation, and deceit during their marriage.
In a series of videos shared on TikTok, Shugar revealed that her husband, who is now begging her to take him back, allegedly took her money to fund his side chick’s lifestyle, removed her from his UK visa to force her return to Nigeria, and subjected her to repeated emotional and physical abuse.
She also recounted a tragic incident during their marriage when her husband’s neglect led to a radiator falling on their one-year-old daughter, causing a fracture.
Shugar shared audio and chat evidence showing her pleading for their marriage to work, even offering to contribute financially to extend their visa. She said she always believed in marrying once and marrying right, but her efforts were met with betrayal.
She also alleged that after she supported her husband through school in the UK, he attempted to send their child to live with his cousin, claiming that since she wanted to build a life for herself by working and schooling, she could not raise the child.
She also revealed that friends later helped her secure a new job that now sponsors her UK stay after she was removed from his visa.
Shugar said she decided to go public to counter false narratives allegedly being spread by her ex-husband that she was the one who walked away from the marriage, insisting that she only left to protect herself and her child from further harm.
