32-year-old woman fatally stabbed by her boyfriend
A devastating incident of domestic violence has shaken the community of Bersig, Montagu, in South Africa. Shimoné Fluks, a 32-year-old woman, was fatally stabbed by her boyfriend on December 14, 2024.
According to reports, Shimoné was stabbed multiple times in the neck by her partner during a domestic altercation. Despite her desperate attempt to escape to a neighbor’s house, Shimoné succumbed to her severe injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.
Allegations suggest that the boyfriend had a history of abusive behavior, with reports of a previous stabbing incident involving Shimoné. The boyfriend, also 32 years old, fled the scene but was arrested the following day. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
Women For Change, an advocacy group, expressed their condolences, stating, “Shimoné leaves behind her child. We are heartbroken over the loss of such a beautiful soul. Fly high, Sister.”
