A deeply distressing scene unfolded earlier today in the Ojofa area of Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, as residents discovered a newborn baby abandoned by the roadside.
According to eyewitnesses, the infant—who still bore signs of a fresh delivery—was found inside a Bagco sack dumped in a roadside gutter, left exposed and vulnerable.
The discovery sent shockwaves through the community. Alarmed residents quickly gathered, expressing both sorrow and outrage at the inhumane act. While some checked to see if the baby was still breathing, others urgently placed calls to emergency services.
