Israel’s air defense systems successfully intercepted a ballistic missile launched from Yemen by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed on Friday.
The missile attack triggered red alert sirens across central Israel, including parts of the Jerusalem region, prompting residents to seek shelter. Fortunately, no injuries or property damage have been reported at this time.
The attempted strike marks yet another escalation in regional tensions, as Iran-backed groups continue to launch long-range attacks amid ongoing Middle East instability.
