A mother of three, Habiba Nuhu, her two children and her grandchild have d!ed following a building collapse in Karauka, Zaria city, Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The incident occurred while they were asleep in the early hours of Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
A relative, Mallam Ahmed Ibrahim, said a neighbour’s house mud fence collapsed between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m. and fell on the deceased, k!lling them instantly.
He said only the father and husband of the deceased, Nuhu Dogara, survived the incident.
Ibrahim gave the names of the children and grandchild as Hauwa’u Nuhu, Aina’u Nuhu, and Za’uma Nuhu, respectively.
He attributed the incident to the dilapidated condition of the wall fence.
“The fence is old. Nobody is taking care of it,” he said.
It was gathered that the deceased were buried in accordance with Islamic injunctions in Zaria city on Wednesday.
