Jennifer Nicole Rivas, a young TV presenter and TikTok star from Honduras, has died at the age of 21.
She reportedly suffered a suspected epileptic seizure at her home in Tegucigalpa. Her family confirmed she had an underlying medical condition, and authorities stated she died of natural causes, with no autopsy carried out.
Rivas, a journalism student, worked as a presenter on Honduran channel CHTV and built a strong online following with 100,000 TikTok followers and 16,000 fans on Instagram. She was also known as a comedy actress, collaborating with the group Los Venados 504. Just hours before her death, she posted a photo of herself on what appeared to be a pickleball court, writing: “Getting ready.”
News of her sudden passing has sparked widespread grief online, with colleagues, friends, and fans paying tribute to her talent and bright future.
Her death comes shortly after other tragedies in the influencer community, including the death of Brazilian influencer Luanna Raquel de Araújo Melo, 29, who was killed in a car crash alongside her fiancé and a friend, and Bosnian nurse and content creator Adna Rovčanin-Omerbegović, 26, who died just two days after her wedding following a sudden illness.
