The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that it conducted airstrikes against Houthi targets in Yemen.
Following the group’s repeated ballistic missile and drone attacks on Israel in recent weeks.
The strikes, carried out by Israeli Air Force fighter jets, targeted key locations along Yemen’s western coast and deeper inland. Among the sites hit were infrastructure facilities linked to the Houthis’ military operations, including Sanaa International Airport, power plants in Hezyaz and Ras Kanatib, and ports in Hodeidah, Salif, and Ras Kanatib.
The IDF stated that these facilities were used by the Houthis to facilitate the transfer of Iranian weaponry to the region and to host senior Iranian officials.
The decision to launch the strikes was authorized by IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, Defense Minister Israel Katz, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
