The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested a man identified as Sunday Bidemi for alleged car theft.
The suspect was arrested by operatives attached to the Masaka Division following a tip-off.
The spokesperson of the command, DSP Ramhan Nansel, who disclosed this in a statement on Monday, December 16, 2024, said officers recovered a Toyota Corolla with registration number ABJ 730 KE during the operation.
Nansel stated that preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect absconded with the vehicle in October 2024.
He revealed that the car belongs to Barrister Wilson Egwun of Wuse II, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
The PPRO added that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Shehu Umar Nadada, has directed that the suspect be charged to court for prosecution once investigations are concluded.
